Tawnypelt of ShadowClan

I need your opinion for something else, this time it regards Tawnypelt.

If a cat were to ingest deathberries, then it takes a while for death to set in (usually long enough for a medicine cat to use yarrow to spit up the poison)...that is what we got from Brokenstar’s death and Sorreltail’s near-death.

But what if a cat was affected by deathberries in another way? I thought Fawnmist did an idea that I had, where she coats her claws in berry juice then slashes her victim...I don’t know how long that would take for a cat to die, but it certainly means instant death before a cat can’t throw up what came from scratches.

Decided the badger was both overused and...rather graphic. A new idea I am having is that Tawnypelt is part of a battle between ShadowClan and ThunderClan. Marigoldpaw is scurrying around trying to keep tabs on who is injured and either trips or gets knocked into a bush with berries...these are not the good berries, but deathberries. As she struggles to her paws, them obviously being stained with yew juice, Tawnypelt suddenly lunges at the young cat and in fear, Marigoldpaw rolled backwards and digs her claws into the tortie’s belly.

What I am wondering is...would the berry juice kill Tawnypelt’s kits or force her body to expel them? I know it’s unlikely for a pregnant queen to participate in a battle, but Tawnypelt makes me think of Ottersplash who has kits when she fought in that one battle). She is aware of the risks, but wants to fight because Rowanstar is.

Or...would they have no choice but to cut the kits out...ew (once I saw a show where some people cut open a dead doe in order to retrieve her twin fawns, only one drew breath...it was amazing).

Or...perhaps Tawnypelt had one kit prior to the battle (an early birth), but the rest of her litter wasn’t going to come until a later date…
