Description

This is Skystripe of ThunderClan.
Name: Skystripe
Gender: Male
Clan: ThunderClan
Rank: Warrior
Mother: Dovewing
Father: Bumblestripe
Brother: Ripplewing

Now I'm finally getting started on reference sheets for warriors in Silent Sacrifice. ^^ To start us off, here's Skystripe.

For his adult design, I tried to make Skystripe fairly average, though a bit on the lither side since I mentioned once that he had his mother's more delicate build. He was still a kit then, so he grew more muscular over time, but he's still a bit on the lithe side. He's a short-haired cat, unlike both of his parents (probably not genetically possible, but whatever), and he's pretty average in height. He's frowning in his ref sheet because he's not the friendliest cat and I didn't feel like drawing him smiling. :P Eh, it'd be unrealistic if there weren't any jerks in the Clan. I tried to give him a neat head and smaller (or at least normal-sized) ears, but I always seem to make ears too big on ref sheets. Hmm. Eh, at least I'm getting better at it. They almost looked too small when I was working on the lineart, but now that it's done they look too big.

I made the tear in his ear from the rogue attack when he was a kit a bit bigger, since I said he had a torn ear in the chapter, not a nicked ear. I added a few more nicks in his ears, and I put some scars on his pelt. Considering he's been in several battles at this point (the rogues attacking his camp, he was probably there for the fight to help ShadowClan's camp, the battle against the dogs, and the Code's Battle), I felt justified in giving him a fair few scars. I tried to make them unique, I'm trying to vary up my scars more so all of my scarred cats don't look the same (so no nose scars this time, I always give cats nose scars), I hope I succeeded.

In terms of pattern, he has pretty much the exact same pattern as before. He's pale gray, paler than both parents, with a darker stripe running down his back inherited from grandpa Graystripe, with the same colors as before, and the same golden eyes as before. The only thing that I changed was the belly fur. I gave him two new colors for the belly, as opposed to the one that I used before. I extended the darker belly fur color to his chest and belly, and reduced the lighter color on the muzzle a little. He just looked too plain with only one belly color when I tried to draw him with it. Overall, I'm pretty happy with how his adult warrior design turned out. ^^ Now onto redesigning Mothear, because I really wasn't happy with how the last one turned out.
