Maua and her sister are rare in that they get to see the reign of six kings - Mohatu, Nyeusi, Ahadi, Mufasa, Scar, and Simba.
She is the quieter of the two sisters, the more fearful. She remembers the hard times during Nyeusi's reign, and hoped never to face such hardships again. This makes Scar's reign all the harder for her. She is scared of the hyenas, scared of hunger, scared of dying, and while she does her best to help her pridemates, nothing can quite stamp out that fear.
She and her sister are present during the final fight with Simba.

I finally designed Maua, and I'll get to Zana soon. I took a few liberties with her design; the screencap I took them from was dark, so I decided that you just can't see her earrims.
