Squirrelstream gaped at Featherstar’s body. Bloodstar padded over to it, and his whiskers trembled in satisfaction. She hated him, more than she had ever hated anything before. “This is what will happen to you if you defy BloodClan.” Then he whipped his gaze around to glare at Petalwing and Torneye. “What are you waiting for?! Go NOW!” Petalwing got up slowly, defiantly, glaring at Bloodstar. Torneye leaped up, startled, and stumbled over Petalwing. They scrambled quickly out of Fourtrees, and Bloodstar watched them with cold eyes.
Bloodstar whirled around to face the rest of the leaders. Moonstar glared furiously at Bloodstar, the expression in her eyes a mixture of grief for Featherstar and fear for her own warriors. She stepped back, hissing “This is not over yet.” A dark gray tabby tom stepped back eagerly enough. Bloodstar looked him over. “A wise choice, Burrowstar. WindClan cannot afford to fight BloodClan, can it?” Burrowstar curled his lip to hear the strength of his Clan question, but otherwise he did not speak. Larkstar of ShadowClan stepped back last, with a growl. Bloodstar twitched his whiskers in satisfaction. “Good.”
“Now, I wish to welcome you all to BloodClan formally. So, I am going to change all of your nam-“ He broke off as the patrol from ShadowClan returned. Elders stumbled slowly after the warriors, and queens hurried along their kits. Bodies of a black apprentice, a gray queen, and a black elder and a brown elder were flung over the shoulders of the warriors. Obviously, some cats had had no intention of leaving home without a fight. Bloodstar stared at the bodies with triumph. “Throw them in the river. They have no reason to be properly burried.” Petalwing looked horror-struck, but Torneye and the others simply nodded and left. Bloodstar mewed “As I was saying, I am going to change all of your names, as well as my own. There are too many of you to change each name individually, so I just need you to take away the last half of your names. For example, I am Blood.” Blood glared at each group of cats in turn, daring them to argue. Squirrel found herself trapped by a wave of despair. What hope did the Clans have now?

This is the third part. And for those of you who may have guesed, Redfang of ThunderClan and Cloudpelt of SkyClan are the leaders Redstar and Cloudstar from Firestar's Quest.
