...sooooooo, guess who finally discovered Hamilton?
Yeah, the last few days/weeks have been spent becoming deeply, deeply obsessed with Hamilton, as I tend to do when I find something new that I really like.
Actually, I've only listened to seven songs so far, so I haven't listened to all of it yet. I'm waiting until finals are over to download all of the songs. This is actually the first song I heard from Hamilton, and I first found it because of a Tigerclaw and Fireheart MAP planning video to this song. So once again Warriors is changing my life.
Anyway, I've been listening to these songs and loving them and finding new Warriors videos to these songs. I've found two videos to Obedient Servant so far, one with Tigerclaw and Fireheart, and one with Clear Sky and Gray Wing. Those are both great pairings to go with this song, and I greatly look forward to them being completed so I can watch them. 
But the other day, I realized that there's a pair in the books that fits the song even better, at least in my opinion, who no one was making a video for or drew any fanart for. And since I'm far too lazy these days to make a whole video, a bit of fanart is what I did. ^^ And that pair is, of course, Bluefur and Thistleclaw. It really seems to fit them perfectly. Thistleclaw is ambitious for ambition's sake, it seems to me, not really out of a want to help people, which contrasts Bluefur wanting to keep ThunderClan safe and do her best for them, which fits with Burr and Hamilton in this song. And Bluefur did her best to manipulate events to keep Thistleclaw from power, which also works for Burr's accusations in this song. The only thing that doesn't really fit is the challenge to duel, since Thistleclaw never challenged Bluestar to any kind of fight, but ah well, I still think this song really fits them. This would take place right after Bluefur becomes deputy - Thistleclaw doesn't know about her giving up her kits in order to stop him from being deputy, but he's furious anyway, and probably thinks Bluefur talked to Sunstar in order to dissuade him from making Thistleclaw deputy.
I'm pretty proud of how this turned out. Bluefur's pose with her head brought up sharply like that took some referencing and tweaking, but I'm pretty happy with the end result. I'm not totally satisfied with the shading or with Thistleclaw's angry glare, but overall I'm pretty happy with it. I tried to make the background resemble the color of the Hamilton logo.
And yeah, I didn't draw scars on either of them. I'll say it's because they're young and haven't gotten quite as visibly scarred yet, buuuuuuuuut mostly it's because I'm lazy. </p>
